Our Story

After years of volunteering and seeing the same failures over and over, we realized there wasn’t a rescue that aligned with our values, so we created one, built around compassion for both animals and the people who care for them.

The Animals Who Inspire Us

KPA was inspired by the animals whose lives reminded us why rescue matters. One of these animals was Misu, a senior Siamese cat rescued from Miami-Dade Animal Services. Deaf and partially blind, Misu had endured a life of neglect, but in the 20 days he spent with our family, he experienced love, comfort, and dignity. His story shaped KPA’s approach to care, and to this day, we continue to accept hospice cases, giving animals in their final days a safe, loving home.

Another inspiration was Oscar, a young tabby kitten we adopted before Misu. Sadly, Oscar was lost to Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a disease our veterinarian advised had no treatment. We now know this is not always true. We honor Oscar’s memory by never accepting “no chance” as an answer. Every day, we care for animals who were rejected or told they wouldn’t survive — and every day, they defy the odds and continue to thrive.

These stories guide KPA’s mission: to provide compassionate care for all animals, to challenge assumptions about what is possible, and to fight for every life — no matter the odds..

Who We Are

Hi, I’m Zeta, founder of Kitty Puppy Alliance. I started volunteering as a foster parent in 2020, gaining experience with various rescues and shelters and learning what worked, and what didn’t. As of January 2026, I’ve fostered over 400 animals, and in my free time, I advocate for animals, disability rights, and housing and youth homelessness issues.

Over time, I realized I couldn’t find an organization that fully aligned with my values: one that prioritized both the mental and physical needs of the animals and the people caring for them.

Inspired by my love for animals and my frustration with a system that repeatedly failed them, I founded KPA. Our mission is to provide compassionate, practical support for animals and their people, whether that means keeping pets in their homes, rescuing animals in need, or matching them with loving adopters.

At KPA, we treat our fosters as the valuable, compassionate, essential volunteers they are. Their dedication, care, and time make everything we do possible, and we strive to support them every step of the way.

My personal passion is working with neonate kittens. Caring for them around the clock is hard work, but the joy they bring makes every sleepless night worth it. That love for the tiniest, most vulnerable animals drives everything we do at KPA.

Compassion in action isn’t just about the animals we save, it’s about the people and community we lift along the way. We support our South Florida community and strive every day to make the world a kinder, more compassionate place for both animals and people.
